The person-centered planning process shall include the individuals place on the path to employment and the individual’s desired employment outcome. A community employment individual must be eligible for Board services, 14 years of age or older, unemployed or underemployed and a resident of Carroll County. Services provided or referred to a local provider include transition, Job Exploration and Training (JET), community based assessments, job coaching, job development and job placement. Intake into the community employment program will be provided by Reva Castelucci.
Summer Jet Program
This year, the summer JET (Job Exploration and Training) program started on 6/13/2022. This program focuses on youth ages 14 to 21 giving real life, paid work experience to participants. This summer, 13 students from various school districts are working at local businesses for six weeks. Along with working in the community, this group is also washing cars every Friday at the County Board Office. The car detailing service has been very popular with the community in the past. The JET program provides training and offers job experience to students to help them prepare and work towards their career goals in the future.
