Thomas Meagher

Thomas is an active member of the Carrollton Knights of Columbus and has served four years as District Warden.  He’s been a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church for four years.  Thomas is also active in the Carroll County People First Self-Advocacy Chapter and participates in Carroll County Special Olympics.  He is currently the Carroll County Special Olympics Athlete Leader and represents the County at state level.  One of Thomas’ dreams is to become a Special Olympics Basketball Coach.  He’s currently working towards obtaining his coaching certifications, including First Aid and CPR.  Once certified, Thomas will be the first Athlete Coach in Carroll County.

Not surprising, he’s very helpful, caring and compassionate to everyone at St. John’s Villa Staff have shared many stories demonstrating Thomas’s eagerness to make a fellow housemate’s day easier or to help staff feel appreciated with a kind word or gesture.  Even when feeling under the weather, Thomas still volunteers to wash the daily lunch dishes just because he loves to help wherever he’s needed.
