A Message from Matt Campbell, CCBDD Superintendent

I want to assure Carroll County residents that the Board is here to support this community. We are uncertain how long this crisis will last. I want the entire community to know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

We do not have plans to close unless we are told to do so. The Board Offices on 540 High Street NW are open so we may support those served. The Board has implemented no face to face meetings other than staff at this time. Our outreach will consist of phone calls, video conferences, and delivery of needed supplies. We are only requiring essential staff at the Board Offices. I have approved for some staff to work from home. We are taking staff temperatures each morning and will send any staff home with a temperature at 100.4 or higher. We are practicing social distancing and proper hygiene such as handwashing for at least 20 seconds and ensuring everything is disinfected. We will only provide curb service for necessary visitors. This means you will have to call ahead and staff will meet you at your vehicle.

Carroll Hills School remains closed to students until at least April 6, 2020. Our teachers are reaching out to parents and students for daily activities. There will only be limited staff at the building with most days one maintenance staff.  Parents will be notified when school will resume via One Call Now, our website, and Facebook. If you have questions, concerns, needs or issues regarding Carroll Hills School, please leave a message at 330-267-9719 and someone will be in contact ASAP.

Service and Support Administrators and Community Network Coordinator are checking with each adult served and providing items for activities at home.

We continue to monitor daily guidance and directives from local, state, and federal authorities. We try to learn more information by connecting with credible sources such as the Carroll County Health Department, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, the Ohio Association for County Boards, the Ohio Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

Our website and Facebook page continue to be good resources for our community. We upload and post the latest information to these pages and encourage you to visit there often.

We would like to give special appreciation and recognition to Direct Service Professionals who aren’t able to stop working and go home when everyone else does. We are so very thankful for them as they continue to support and meet the needs of those with disabilities, and we hope they stay well and safe during these times.

Take care, stay well and stay safe. Call the Board Offices at 330-627-6555 with questions, concerns, issues, or needs. To report someone with a disability being abused or neglected, please call 800-240-6733.

Sincerely,

Matt Campbell,

Superintendent
