Dreams Do Come True!

Thomas Meagher dreamed of becoming a basketball coach and put in the hard work to make it happen.  Thomas was highlighted in our newsletter a several months ago when he completed the required Special Olympics coach training.  In October 2021, Thomas was offered the assistant coaching position for the Carroll Hills Cougars basketball team.  He was beyond excited to have this opportunity and accepted without hesitation.  Before the Cougar’s season started, Thomas was invited to guest coach a Carrollton Warrior’s home scrimmage at Carrollton Schools.  Naturally, Thomas jumped at the opportunity and was presented an official coaching shirt for the occasion.  Thank you to everyone who had a hand in helping Thomas realize his dream.  Plan on attending a Cougar’s basketball game to cheer on the team and see Thomas doing what he loves!
