Carroll County Board of DD

Updated COVID-19 Protocols

Revised 08/09/2021

The Carroll County Board of Developmental Disabilities has been monitoring the evolving COVID-19 situation.  The elevated number of COVID-19 cases in Carroll County is concerning.  The Centers for Disease Control has recently changed its masking recommendations based on new information on the Delta COVID variant. CDC is now recommending that masks be used in indoor settings in areas of substantial to high transmission rates of new COVID cases.  With the advice from public health experts, including consultation with the local Health Department, the CCBDD will be implementing a universal mask policy for all CCBDD staff and all visitors to our buildings effective Monday, August 16, 2021.

This policy is in place for all staff and visitors to our buildings regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status.

At this time, this is the only change to our COVID-19 Protocols.  We will continue to be diligent in our cleaning procedures.  We also remind our staff that when you are ill, please stay home.

All services that take place outside of CCBDD buildings, such as visits to providers and homes, can occur with our staff being masked in these settings during work hours.

Carroll Hills School is not mandating masks for students; just staff and visitors.  The overwhelming majority of our students have medical and behavioral needs that do not make wearing masks possible.

This policy will be reviewed on a monthly basis and updates will be made available when applicable.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and understanding.  Please contact us for any questions you may have concerning our COVID-19 Protocols at 330-627-6555 (County Board Office) or 330-627-7651 (Carroll Hills School).
