July 2021 Success Story

Julie Ketchum

Julie Ketchum

Julie Ketchum resides in Carrollton with her parents and sister.  She attended Carroll Hills School since preschool and is a now proud 2021 graduate.  Julie has a fantastic sense of humor and loves to joke with everyone.  She likes to swim, loves animals and enjoys going out for dinner and ice cream.

Since graduation, Julie attends Starlight Enterprises and has come a long way in a very short time.  She volunteers for Meals on Wheels, helps to prepare for campers at the FFA Camp and has stocked shelves at Sanders Market.  Julie’s been learning to do her own grocery shopping so she can prepare the lunches she enjoys.  Julie’s made a ton of friends and will go out of her way to make them feel better if they’re having a rough day.

Julie also participates in the summer JET (Job Exploration Training) program hosted by Carroll County Board of Developmental Disabilities.  Julie’s worksite is at Knickers Bar and Grill where she vacuums, mops and wipes off tables and chairs.  She’s become very independent and starts working as soon she arrives on the job.  Julie has truly been an asset for Knickers this summer.

Julie, we are so very proud of you and love watching you succeed!
