Matt and Jack at the State House

Carroll County People First President, Matt Crough, and Vice President, Jack Hobson, attended DD and Advocacy Day at the Statehouse. They were able to participate in the presentations by Treasurer Robert Sprague, Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted, DODD Director Kim Hauck, as well as an advocacy panel. After the presentations, Matt and Jack joined a small group from Harrison County in a meeting with Representative Don Jones and then with Senator Frank Hoagland. Matt and Jack advocated for current transportation issues, staffing issues, and building accessibility in Carroll County. Matt and Jack invited Representative Jones and his wife, Amy, and the group from Harrison County in hopes of jump starting their advocacy program to the Carroll County People First meeting on March 16th. Both parties accepted the invite, and we had the pleasure of hosting them at our meeting held at the Carrollton Chop House.
